At a ribbon-cutting event, Marian Wilson, EVP and Chief Human Resource Officer, Polly Van Duser, SVP Talent Acquisition and Mario Ruggiero, SVP Head of Sales for Small Business segment, officially opened this room to students and faculty at FIU.

"Our goal with this partnership is to be able to bring in strong, early career sales talent beginning in 2019 from the FIU program," said Van Duser. "Students will get to know Bank of America Merchant Services leaders through the ongoing engagements during the semester including networking events, role plays focusing on our solutions, various sales competitions and other campus events."

Bank of America Merchant Services sales leaders will participate in classroom presentations on topics such as "Connecting with Others" and "Understanding the Buyer," panel discussions as well as the Panther Sales Tournament in early October. Additionally, Bank of America Merchants Services will have a presence at events in the spring semester, including the Global Bilingual Sales Competition, held in Spring 2019.

"Being a part of the classroom discussions and program events is a great opportunity for us to showcase what we're about as a company, and for our sales associates to share real-life, real-world experiences in a corporate sales culture," said Paul Rubino, SVP southeast division executive. "The bilingual focus is critical, especially with the competition in this environment. Our ability to have bilingual associates who become coaches and future leaders is instrumental to our ability to better serve our communities."

"This is a win-win partnership," said Wilson. "Bank of America Merchant Services has the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of FIU's sales students and, at the same time, find strong sales talent for the future."
